2012 Calendar of Events
There's plenty to do throughout the year at Cherokee. Most of our events occur during the warmer spring and summer months, but we have activities planned throughout the winter too! We'll be adding to this calendar throughout the season, so check back! We've been going strong for 20 years, and we're looking forward to the next 20!
Throughout February: FREE Night's Stay
We've got a large fireplace to keep everyone warm! Stay Friday night and receive Saturday night FREE! Join us for Happy Hour every Friday and Saturday from 5PM until 7PM and enjoy 1/2 price beer! We’ll have dances every Friday and Saturday night. The full menu will be available in the restaurant, and the bar will be open.
March 17: St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
There'll be plenty of green beer and great music at Cherokee's St. Patrick's Day celebration! No need to wear green! Rumor has it we may have a wedding that weekend, so come on out and join the party!
March 24: Spring Break Weekend
Why travel to the beach when Cherokee has a pool, a sand volleyball court and a full bar? College students always receive a 20% grounds fee discount at Cherokee, and first-time visitors can call to reserve a FREE day pass!
March 31: April Fool’s Day Party
We’ll have great food and drinks at the lodge and a DJ dance in the evening.
April 7-8: Easter Weekend
Join us for an Easter Sunday service at Cherokee’s Little Church in the Wildwood. There’ll be great food and drinks at the lodge and fun for the entire family!
April 21-22: Earth Day Weekend
With nearly 300 acres of meadows, forests, lakes and streams, and facilities designed to blend into the natural environment, Cherokee is the ideal place to celebrate Earth Day! Enjoy an invigorating stroll on our 9 miles of trails, then wind down with dinner and drinks at the lodge!
May 5: Cinco de Mayo Party
Cherokee’s Cinco de Mayo party will be muy excellante! Enjoy margaritias by the pool and a fiesta at the lodge, featuring great dining and a festive DJ dance!
May 12-13: Mother’s Day Weekend
Cherokee has been a family resort for 20 years, and we value our moms! Mom can relax by the pool while we’re in the kitchen making hearty, home-cooked meals for everyone!
May 19-20: Armed Services Weekend
Saturday is Armed Services Day, so salute the troops at Cherokee during our weekend celebration! Active military always receive a 20% grounds fee discount. There’ll be great food and drinks at the lodge.
May 25-28: Memorial Day Weekend
It’s our biggest weekend of the year, so make your reservations NOW! The weekend will be packed with activities, old friends, new visitors and special guests. We’ll have big cookouts, volleyball matches, DJ dances and great entertainment. Never been to Cherokee? Calll us to reserve your FREE day pass! Lodge rooms and cabins will go fast, so don’t delay!
June 16-17: Father’s Day Weekend
Cherokee is the place for dads this weekend! Check out our gameroom, play basketball on our sunny court or plant yourself on a sofa at the lodge and enjoy your favorite programs on our big TV. Hearty food and cold beer await!
July 7-8: Independence Day Weekend
Make reservations NOW for this always-busy weekend! We’ll have great all-American food, drinks and entertainment!
September 1-3: Labor Day Weekend
Make reservations NOW for Cherokee’s big Labor Day Weekend celebration! We’ll have a weekend of enjoyable activities, great entertainment, and phenomenal food and drinks! Cabins and lodge rooms will sell out early, so call now to reserve!
October 27: Halloween Hootenanny
Bring your best costume or just wear the skin you’re in! We’ll have games, entertainment and spooky fun for all!
